Who doesn’t love a good story?
The old souls finding their way home. The high school sweethearts or the college romance. Even the details have stories. The rings passed down fro generations, and the cufflinks – even the dress.
It’s an amazing thing to be a part of everyone’s story. And I love that I get to spend an entire day being a storyteller in a way that no one else gets to. I get to tell stories of love and romance. Those are the best because they’re honest, hopeful and grand.
These are the stories that move us. People come alive when they hear stories of love. Iv’e never seen grandparents move like they do at their granddaughter’s wedding.
I see truth and happiness in toasts and vulnerability during dances. This vast array of human emotion is palpable during weddings. And I jump at the opportunity to stop these moments in their tracks so that they later get hung on walls. That’s the best part of being a a wedding photographer – it’s to tell your story in a way that no one else can.
